Install Skype 5.5 Beta

Follow the below steps to install Skype 5.5 beta version.

Download Skype Package

First of all you have to download the Skpye Debian package for its official website download page. Type the below command to download the latest available Skpye Debian package.

$ wget https://repo.skype.com/latest/skypeforlinux-64.deb

Install Skpye

After downloaded Skpye package follow the below command to install on your system.

$ sudo dpkg -i skypeforlinux-64.deb

Launch Skpye 5.5

Type the below command to launch Skype on your system or you can also use your dashboard skype button to start it.

$ skypeforlinux

It will ask for accept agreement, Click on I agree and you will get Skype:

skype-login
